Was Your Life Affected Negatively?

Of the 39 daughters whose fathers were absent, approximately 67% (26) said that their lives were affected negatively by the absence of their fathers. Thirteen percent (5) said that they were not affected negatively while about 18% (7) said that they may have been affected negatively. One participant said that she did not know. It is obvious from the results that in this study, there were more daughters who felt that they were affected negatively by the absence of their fathers than those who said no, who were unsure or who did not know. The agreement of the majority of these females with the fact that their lives were affected negatively proves that paternal absenteeism is indeed a problem and that it does affect daughters.
